My sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
I'm 14 and i've read it , but its definately an adult book. It's very moving and i think you would be able to have a really good discussion about it. Don't be put off if you've seen the film and didn't like it , it's completely different.
Also , We need to talk about Kevin is really interesting , and that would definately induce a good discussion.
Thanks for all the great answers!! I've actually read all theses- but I really appreciate the input! :) We Need To Talk About Kevin was great..but a little too aggressive for some of my book club pals - lol. I however LOVE that book! Thanks all!!!

I have just read a great book called Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford. I loved it and would make a great book club read. Amazon link below gives details.
The Little Stranger by Sarah Walters - there's a lot to discuss and everyone has a different theory about the ending and what it means and a different opinion of the different characters. Or you could try The Secret History by Donna Tartt, which again, people tend to have very different opinions of.
One that's sure to provoke a lot of discussion, especially among a group of women in their 30s (I'm a woman in her 30s myself) is We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver.
