Here the deal is getting good deals for purchasing books; I see nothing among the very many 'clubs' that mention discussing the books online.

This is a gimmick, really, but at least people discuss books, on the radio as guests or as callers. You may want to read their brief homepage.

Not a gimmick and not a 'sell,' but though I didn't hit the FAQs as I should have (suggest you do; it's in tiny print at the bottom), it seems this group organizes and helps organize book clubs for the discussion of written material all over several countries. It only mentions 'phone chats' and regular book discussion clubs though, that I saw... not online.



I kept at it for a while, trying to make links to what you request, and so far can't do it. I will hope someone already in such a group will chime in with a better answer. (Don't worry about the links above; my computer tells me immediately if anything is wrong with a link.)

Check out LibraryThing.com. It has many many book discussions going on at any given time. It's a terrific site in other ways as well.
