Is anything wrong with having a book club edition book rather than a normal copy?

I'm buying a book published in the 1950s for my Grandma, but the only copy that I can find which was published then is a Book Club Edition. Is anything wrong with having a book club edition book rather than a normal copy?
So long as it's not condensed or revised, it should be just fine. It might even have slightly larger font and line spacing, making it more 'readable.'

Book club editions have less resale value down the road, but that's not why you're buying it, so that doesn't matter. Is anything wrong with having a book club edition book rather than a normal copy?
No there's not, except perhaps a large sticker or image on the front saying it's a book club edition and discussion questions in the back.
