Book clubs?

how does one go about joining/forming a book club of people who actually want to READ and DISCUSS books? especially since the sort of person who likes the same sort of books i like is sort of rare?Book clubs?
Contact some bookstores - some bigger chains already have book clubs started by other customers or tell them you're interested in starting a new one. I used to work at Borders and we had a Mystery book club and some other ones too, i think.Book clubs?
Place an ad in the paper.

I am a member of 2 that are excellent. They are called Perfect Books and Proof You Love Someone An Emily Giffin group.
