Do teachers/schools gain anything from students ordering from Scholastic Book Clubs?

The prices in the catalogs teachers send home are not always particularly competitive, and I'd feel better if I knew that somehow the teachers gained classroom materials or the school got something out of the deal. Depending on how much is ordered by students, teachers can earn free books and educational materials for their classrooms. I taught preschool for 3 years and earned numerous books and books-on-tape but the catalog that teachers had to choose from included other classroom items.

Yes...they get like 50% of the profit plus they get books for their library..

Certain books actually donate to the education department I think. There are some teachers that receive books and gifts from the company as well.
