Is listening to an audiobook cheating if you're in a book club?

I am maybe going to join a book club for social reasons and am driving 12 hours next weekend. I thought, "Why not just listen to this book since I have so much time?"Is listening to an audiobook cheating if you're in a book club?
Quite a few people have the audio just for the reason you mention, the time spent on the road.

Others find their eyes are not as good as they used to be.

I see no reason NOT to listen to the audio

Cheers
I do not think that it would be cheating. But you do need to get the unabridged version of the book that the book club is going to be reading.

I love listening to audio books and when I travel alone I always listen to books. .... My husband does not like to listen to audio books that have 'characters' because he cannot keep them straight...but he will listen to books about things and places for a short while...then he switches to a music CDIs listening to an audiobook cheating if you're in a book club?
No. If you get the full version of the audiobook, it's exactly the same. Some people "read" better by listening.

Happy reading!
I use audio books when I travel around and I can't see why you can't use it instead of reading the book. Especially if it is unabridged. Is listening to an audiobook cheating if you're in a book club?
I don't see why, unless it's abridged.
Just cheating yourself.
