Book Clubs - do you discuss a whole book once a month or do you do bi weekly & discuss chapters as you go?

My book club meets every 6 weeks or 2 months and we discuss the entire book.

Whoever hosts the meeting chooses the book for next time.Book Clubs - do you discuss a whole book once a month or do you do bi weekly %26amp; discuss chapters as you go?
We discuss a whole book at the end of each month. Many of us stick a post-it note on pages we want to remember to discuss. We've also found it helpful to give the member (via email) the discussion questions ahead of time so we can give them some thought and jot down some notes. Our library has some book sets for book clubs and they have the questions in the box with the books. Here's a link that has many guides.
My book club gives book reports of whatever we are reading without giving away anything. We answer questions about books and book recommendations, much like we do here in Yahoo! Yes, you discuss a whole book once a month. My group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The book for June is A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. It sort of defeats the purpose of a monthly book group to meet weekly and discuss chapters
in my book club we read 2-6 chapters and then disscus because sometimes it is harder to remember the whole book at once so it is better to do every so chapter.......Book Clubs - do you discuss a whole book once a month or do you do bi weekly %26amp; discuss chapters as you go?
My book club has been meeting for over a year now. We discuss the whole book once a month. We always have questions, either from the back of the book or somewhere on the web. We hand out a copy of the questions to each member although we may not always discuss every question.

I'm constantly amazed at the breadth of the discussions we have, instigated by a simple book.
