Am I going overboard by being a part of 2 separate book clubs lol? My husband thinks so.?

I am part of a book club at my local library where I am the only young lady there, everyone else is a senior and retired. So although the book club meetings are very enjoyable, I can't really relate to the other women on a personal level, we just talk about the book and that's it. Meanwhile, my girlfriends and I started a book club of our own which is held at a different girls' house every month. This book club consists of existing friends (all around the same age group as me) and when we discuss the book, sometimes we bring personal experience into it, and since we're already friends, everyone will know what they're talking about.

When I told my husband my friends and I started a book club, he thought it would be a replacement for my library book club so he said, "Why do you need 2?!" lol. I think he thinks I'm too excessive. But I get a different experience from both.

What do you think?Am I going overboard by being a part of 2 separate book clubs lol? My husband thinks so.?
It sounds fine to me. If you have a full-time job, it might be tough to keep up with both. But if you're a reading fan, maybe you're willing to put the time in. It sounds like you get a different experience from each club and once per month is not that often anyway.

The only thing to consider is whether your husband said this because he feels neglected! Make sure to reserve time for him too! Good luck.Am I going overboard by being a part of 2 separate book clubs lol? My husband thinks so.?
I read three books day before yesterday. Not everyone is a reader. Do what makes you happy.
