Usually they all agree to read the same book. Then at the next get together they all sit around and drink coffee and discuss what they read. Meetings are usually once a month.So you have a whole month to buy and read the new book choice. Members are usually women in their 50's and older.What do people do exactly in book clubs after reading the story ?
Book clubs are really an excuse for friends to get together and talk about something they like. It can be fun but you really need to be in a group where everyone shares at least some of the same interests. All the book clubs that I have been involved with have been more about getting everyone together on a specific pre planned day to chat and maybe have a pot luck dinner not really serious book discussions. That way we all know and plan for when we will get together. Once we read a book and then all got together to see the movie.
